Недорогой, легко устанавливаемый и простой в использовании CISCO SPA122 соединяет стандартные телефоны и факсы с IP-сетью. Провайдеры и фирмы, предоставляющие услуги IP-телефонии, могут предложить пользователям как традиционные услуги, так и расширенные возможности IP-коммуникаций посредством присоединения к Интернету через широкополосный доступ или локальной сети (LAN).
CISCO SPA122 имеет два FXS-порта для соединения с аналоговыми телефонами, факсами, УАТС и коммуникационными платформами различных производителей, а также два Ethernet интерфейса: для соединения с домашним или офисным ПК и для связи с модемом широкополосной сети или маршрутизатором. С помощью SPA122 каждому телефонному порту можно независимо предоставлять различные услуги, настраивая программное обеспечение, контролируемое провайдером IP-телефонии или конечным пользователем.
CISCO SPA122 имеет 2 встроенных порта для аналоговых телефонов, со всеми функциями Linkys SPA-2100, но, в добавление к ним, также поддерживает 2 одновременных звонка с использованием кодека G.729 и факсовый протокол ITU-T.38.
